The End?
Not sure what to do anymore. This site, oh how much I love it, is dying. No one visits it anymore. I used to have almost around 500 unique visitors a day, now I’m lucky if I have 50. I don’t know what’s wrong. I try so hard. The Rendezvous… sure, that’s my fault. But the forums, the games, everything else… it’s just not what it used to be anymore. I mean, even the main part, the videos… I never received a single comment on my site with my latest video. :[ Guys, you have no idea how hard I work on this site and the videos for it, and I hardly ever see any love. So I’m pretty much thinking of deleting the site. Making videos is still up in the air, and even I’m not sure if that’s going to remain alive on YouTube. I’m looking at other possible options for other sites. I’m still in a limbo, as I have just lost all hope, but don’t want to see the site go down. If you want to have an idea of how bad we really are, the company that I sell advertising on actually yanked my ad box because my traffic was pretty low. Bummer indeed. x.x Leave me a comment with your thoughts… I’m open for ideas or anything you have to say. But for now, I may start digging the grave for The Nintendo Boy Project. :[ I’ll hopefully see you again on some other site. Good bye for now… 🙁
Gawd Jeffrey, what a depressing blog post! And I’m willing to help! I just fail at giving you ideas, I can help you develop your ideas, but I really suck at coming up with them, you know that! But don’t be so negative!!

shut up, dont sell the site!!! i would be really happy if i got less then 50 views on my site because i dont get any views on my site but i still keep it on the web and update a tiny bit sometimes and my videos get less then 100 views and crap rating but i still make videos so please be grateful you get less then 50 views a day and keep it running forever please!
Wow, I thought this was another April Fool’s joke. lol Anyway, if it makes you feel better, Jeff, my site’s activity spikes are around 15 uniques now. ^_^Howeveer, since you asked for my opinion:My site went through the same thing, and I know exactly what caused it. It was fluff?pure and simple. Remember when my site had 17 pages? There was so much to do, it was funny. The problem was that it had become a little impersonal, and there was so much for VIEWERS to do, I could just sit back and watch the participation, even though it was still MY site.That’s when I cleaned it up, got rid of most of the pages, and started focusing on personally making the content again. That has slowed since, yes, because starting a business is rather tricky. But the way I got the attendance back up was more videos. You saw how often I used to crank them out. I found that people like manageable videos often rather than a 10-minute update quarterly.Anyway, my suggestion is to cut out the fluff (in my eyes, the forum, and the gameroom)

Listen, I have hit a BUNCH of low points during my time of web design. However, I have never given up and new opportunities come with time. I would visit the site more often but, my internet connection has been faulty lately. So, I have been too busy trying to work on my site (before I loose my connection) to visit your site. If I had any idea that your site was in trouble I would have done everything in my power to find another place to connect to the internet. Send me an e-mail or something and I will try to help as best as I can! JUST DON’T GIVE UP!!!
That was depressing. Just looking at the title made me feel bad for you.But you cannot give up, like I did with my site.This site has been up for so long, and yeah – it’s had its ups and downs, but look at it now. I stopped visiting for a while, due to a heavy amount of school work, and I looked back the other day and I was amazed. It has become so great, and I envy you for having both the time and skills to create something like this!Dude, you can’t just delete NintendoBoy, it’s my favourite site on the web! I love your videos, and they’re always great for some afternoon entertainment.I will do anything to help you, even though i’m stuck over here in Australia. I don’t come here very often, but then again, i don’t get on the computer very much anymore. but jeff, if you delete this, i will lose a major thing to remember you by! So, you can’t delete it. you had this even before we met! i think. that was so long ago….anyways, if you quit now, Rupert will never fully get to understand the awesomeness of this site. And he will grow up learning to be a quitter like his dad! So don’t. please? 🙂
