Feeling Blue

Hey all, I’m back and had an awesome week in Florida, as you can see with my always-confused look in the picture… thanks for asking. Haha, just kidding… I had a blast at Universal Orlando with all the awesome rides and attractions including the new Simpsons Ride and the Blue Man Group performance! Anyway I hope you guys had a great week, and I’m happy to be bringing the site back up to speed. I have some new things for you after a long week without updates. Don’t feel so blue. ;)I’d like to welcome the last installment of Laura’s amazing comics to the site. If you’ve been here with us for a while, I’m sure you know her work from the early adventure plots, and of course with the comic versions of the Nintendo Boy Trio videos. Well, today, she has poured her blood, sweat, and tears (though I’m unsure if it was in that order… haha) into the last of the comic videos: Episode #1.3 – Timebomb COMIC. Be sure to check that out as this is a very special addition to the site. If you are new, be sure to catch up with 1.1 and 1.2 by visiting our photo gallery, which can be also accessed via the lounge under ‘Apps’. I am honored to have Laura draw these wonderful pieces of art exclusively for the site, and I really enjoy it. Oh, and one more thing. Whether you are new to the photo gallery or not, be sure to visit there again as the ability to add comments to the comic, including rating each and every panel, has now been added. So, share your thoughts with us! And of course, feel free to always drop a line at us, and let Laura know how much you love her comics. I am quite blue now that the comic series has ended. :/ So, go to the comics now!

As far as other additions go, the new game that was exclusive to newsletter members has now been publicly added to the game room. Yes, you heard right, there is finally a new, AWESOME game in the games section at the lounge, named Super Mario Sunshine 64. So be sure to give it a spin, leave your rating, and even embed it into your own website.

Also, as I’m sure you remember from my first nRant that E3 took place this week. Now, I haven’t been able to look into much of it, let alone cover it since I was away, so I recommend you stop by VideoGame Command, a very good friend of mine from the old, dark days of our own websites. After a long delay, he has been finally added to our list of partners, so be sure to say hi to him!

And, of course, the Rendezvous. It’s right around the corner. Have you signed up yet?!

Leftovers

And, some more quick updates. I am leaving for Orlando tomorrow until Thursday, so obviously I will not be updating the site until then. But, I just want to blog at you guys a bit more. :)First off, I’d like to formally announce the new affiliate program here on the site. We already have a taker, and he’s my pal over at Revealed. He has a pretty neat website for those of you who bore of the flashy bright colors on my site! And for you Nintendo fan boys, the site has their share of game reviews to check out, so be sure to stop by the lounge for the list of partners and perhaps register your site!

Also, if you haven’t seen it already my nRant posts are now popping up (well at the moment there’s just one), so be sure to look out for that and check out the archives, which the link for that page will be posted at the end of every rant here on out.

And, The Rendezvous. It’s so close to being done, I wish I could show you, but I still have things to perfect, so you can bet I’m excited about this. I wanna say it will come out this Saturday, but you’d probably wouldn’t believe me, so… yeah, just keep you eyes peeled as the release will be posted in the blog.

So, I haven’t much else to say, except to have a great week! And, thanks again, for reading my blog posts. It means a lot. And just to show thanks and leave you with something for this week… a brand new game, which is a Super Mario 64 crossover of Mario Sunshine. It’s a huge game file, and it should keep you occupied for a while… or at least until you give up! And, this game will be exclusively for blog-readers until the end of the week, so you won’t find it in the game room yet! And REMEMBER, it’s a new game, so it will take some time to load!!

And so… here it is: Super Mario Sunshine 64 – Enjoy!

nRant: What to expect at E3 2008?

Here it is. The first nRant post. The post where I rant about the latest ongoings of Nintendo!Sooo… E3. I am quite excited about this, and it’s sneaking up on us July 15th. Don’t know what E3 is? Well, then I’d say you are not a gamer. Check out the wikipedia entry of E3 and also the official website to get more details if you’re clueless. Go ahead and check, I’ll still be here. … Ok, ready?

So, by now you know that E3 is an event where the giants of gaming, Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony (and along with many other companies), duke it out and show off upcoming releases for the year following the Expo. Now, this is exciting, because this is where the big news happens, news that shocks everyone. E3 was the place that the big N announced their next-gen console, the “Nintendo Revolution” a couple years back, which of course we all know and love as “Wii”.

Now, for this year, I wonder, what else could Nintendo pull out from their sleeves? Brawl came out in early March of this year, and Mario Kart was quick to follow. Those were two huge AAA titles, and have a history and huge fan base behind both of them. With this blast of awesome games within the span of 2 months, you wonder what else can come from them? Well, I guess we’ll have to wait and see. One big AAA Nintendo title that is buzzing round is Animal Crossing for Wii. The first of the series made it’s way onto the Gamecube, then a sequel to the DS, which is by far one of the most popular games to date with use of the Wi-Fi DS Internet play. We all know and love this series, and I am sure looking forward to a Wii version of this beloved “real life” game. I mean, who doesn’t want to live with a bunch of animals on a far-off island? It’s awesome, and while a Wii version is not confirmed, it pretty much is assumed, as noted with the ACWii link above.

As far as other things go… I just want to be shocked with excitement. I want Nintendo to release some kind of hard drive support for the Wii, because I will soon run out of space with all the blasted Virtual Console games I’m downloading! And, maybe a new Zelda? Hey, I can dream, right? I’ll be sure to have a page open to the E3 site to hear breaking news, because, of course, I am one of millions who didn’t get invited to the event. Haha, surprising, no? 😉
